Naoya Hida & Co., the boutique Japanese masters who founded in 2018, will announce their new releases at the end of April. They have enjoyed a great deal of success among enthusiasts since their founding. This year they are teasing 5 new releases including a collaboration with The Armoury. The Lettercutter, my personal favorite, is one of them. What intrigued me was their selection process - many brands nowadays release on a first-come-first-served basis, but Naoya Hida announced that there's no need to rush, as they'll be reviewing all the purchasing applications separately. On the wrist, the cold, cool look of the hardened steel of the GMW-B5000PS-1 is different and striking, but it’s not too extravagant. It does look luxurious in a way. Maybe that’s because the watch made me think of the frosted gold Royal Oaks that Audemars Piguet makes.
